How it's calculated

The Life Path Number comes from your date of birth. Three pieces. month, day, year, are each reduced down on their own, then summed together, then reduced one more time. Master numbers (11, 22, 33) are special: they stay master through every step until the very last one.

Worked example: October 22, 1980. October = 10 → 1+0 = 1. Day 22 is a master number, so it stays 22. Year 1980 = 1+9+8+0 = 18 → 1+8 = 9. Sum: 1 + 22 + 9 = 32. Final reduce: 3+2 = 5. Life Path 5.

(Some online calculators sum every digit of the date at once. That can hide a master number that should be preserved, this calculator uses the reduce-by-component method, which is the version used by legitimate numerologists.)
